Supporting our communities goes beyond supplying school uniform

1 minute

We’re proud to have donated a selection of school uniform and sportswear to the Heywood Uniform Hub, helping local families access essential school clothing free of charge.

The volunteer-led initiative, led by Claire Yardley, collects and redistributes school uniform to families across Heywood, helping to reduce the cost of the school day. Since launching, the project has already redistributed hundreds of uniform items, supporting dozens of local families, with demand for branded school uniform continuing to grow.

When Claire got in touch to tell us about the initiative, we knew we wanted to help. Giving back to the communities we serve is something that’s incredibly important to us, and we’re delighted to support such a worthwhile project.

Gemma Jones, Senior Customer Relationship Manager at Monkhouse, said:

“We’re really pleased to be able to support this initiative and hope it will make a meaningful difference to families in the Heywood community.”

Claire Yardley, Project Lead at Heywood Uniform Hub, said:

“I was delighted with the news of the donation. It will make a huge difference to so many families in Heywood. I can’t express how truly grateful I am to you for your kindness and generosity.”

A huge thank you to the volunteers at Heywood Uniform Hub for the fantastic work they do to support local families. We’re proud to play a small part in helping ensure more children have the uniform they need to start the school day with confidence.
