Supply Chain Update: Monitoring Disruption in the Middle East (09/03/26)

1 minute

We are currently monitoring developments in the Middle East which are impacting global supply chains, including internal movement, sea freight and air freight routes.

As a business that sources the majority of its products from the Far East and wider Asia, Banner is proactively reviewing the situation and working closely with our partners to minimise any potential disruption to customers.

Current position:

Sea freight
At present there are no significant issues affecting sea freight shipments. However, congestion at major hub ports such as Singapore could begin to develop as global shipping routes adjust. This may lead to some delays in the coming weeks.

Air freight and courier services
We are currently experiencing some disruption and delays due to airspace closures across parts of the Middle East, including major logistics hubs such as Dubai. As a result, air freight and courier costs have increased by approximately 20 to 25 percent.

Our buying and supply chain teams are actively monitoring the situation and taking steps wherever possible to mitigate any impact on product availability.

We will continue to review developments closely and will update this blog every week to ten days until supply chain conditions return to normal.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding orders or deliveries, please do not hesitate to contact our team and we will be happy to discuss this with you directly.
